Adrien Rabiot gives update on Juventus’ future

Adrien Rabiot has admitted his future at Juventus is up in the air as the midfielder’s contract expires in the summer.

Rabiot has been a polarizing figure at Juve since joining the club in 2019, scoring just 11 goals in 145 appearances during his time at the club. However, five of those goals came this season as the midfielder surprisingly increased his performance level tenfold.

These performances continued through to the World Cup, where Rabiot scored a goal and an assist in France’s win over Australia in the opening game.

Now, with just over six months left on his current contract with La Vecchia Signora, the France international is eyeing a €10m/year contract to stay at the Allianz Stadium.

Speaking to La Repubblica ahead of France’s clash with Denmark, Rabiot admitted his future is still unclear: “Whether I stay with Juve? I don’t know yet and it’s not the time to talk about it.

“These performances will undoubtedly help me to go elsewhere, but also to talk to Juve. But now my focus is on the World Cup.

“The experience in Serie A has served me well, I can’t speak for Theo [Hernandez] and [Olivier] Giroud, I speak for myself. It’s been very helpful because with your attention to tactics I’ve learned a lot of things and I’m putting them into practice.”
